When I first thought about the title for my book, my thoughts started with the meaning of the Wrestling Ring.

The Wrestling Ring.  Pg 14:  I just have to get him inside the ring, I started telling myself, If I can get him inside the ring, he’ll be fine.  Inside the Ring, Ric was always fine.

Then I thought about the meaning of the wedding ring:

The Wedding ring: “The circle shape of a wedding ring also holds special meaning. A circle is endless and has no beginning or end. This means that a circle goes on forever, just like the love a married couple have for each other. The circle shape of a wedding ring signifies that your love for one another is endless and will last forever.”

The Olympic rings, “The Olympic symbol expresses the activity of the Olympic Movement and represents the union of the five continents and the meeting of athletes from throughout the world at the Olympic Games.” (Olympic Charter, Rule 8)

The ring of fire, is a major area in the basin of the Pacific Ocean where many earthquakes and volcanic eruptions occur.

Circle of Life, Nature’s way of taking and giving back life to earth. It symbolizes the universe being sacred and divine. It represents the infinite nature of energy, meaning if something dies it gives new life to another.

The ring can mean so many things.

Today, I think about Who’s “Inside My Ring”  to support me, love me and empower me?  Who’s willing to take the punches with me and keep fighting? Those are the people I want in my ring!

As I have gotten older, my ring has gotten smaller and I am ok with that.
